Aviation Security OfficerThe Work Aviation Security Officers protect passengers, crew, airport staff, aircraft, buildings and airport property.
They have to question and physically search passengers. Luggage has to be x-rayed and sometimes searched manually. Vehicles also need to be screened. The work also involves patrolling buildings and guarding the boundaries of the airport. Aviation Security Officers sometimes have to detain suspects. When detaining suspects the Aviation Security Officer must comply with the law. They must complete reports after all incidents. TrainingTraining is provided on-the-job and includes DFT Level 1 Security Aviation qualification.HoursFull time, part time, temporary and seasonal work is available.The work will be based on a 24 hour rota including bank holidays and weekends. << back |
