Aircraft RefuellerThe Work
As an Aircraft Refueller you will be part of a specialist team with a wide range of duties and responsibilities.
Aircraft refuelling is a vital part of this role. The amount of fuel depends on passenger numbers, baggage, freight and weather conditions en route. A pilot will need to carry sufficient fuel for the destination plus an additional supply to allow for any diversions that may be necessary. Your role will include attending aircraft as notified by the Dispatch Officer working with the Flight Crew or Ground Engineers. You will be required to report vehicle or aircraft damage/problems to the Duty Supervisor. All relevant data will need to be recorded manually or by computer. Skills and Personal Attributes
Entry RequirementsTypical job entry requirements include:
TrainingThis will include training on the use of different types of aircraft, aircraft refuelling, vehicle loading and vehicle maintenance. During the course of your employment you will be expected to adhere to the detailed Airfield Operations Handbook, health and safety procedures and Police and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations.<< back |
